Sugestão de excursões

The area immediately surrounding Friedrichstadt offers many options for excursions. In St. Peter Ording, you can visit the widest beach on the North Sea coast. Where better to worship the sun? Husum, where the poet and novelist Theodor Storm was born, is also an interesting place to visit. Its many attractions include the annual Schleswig-Holstein music festival.

Tönning
The nearby town of Tönning offers its visitors access to nature at its best, along with a generous helping of North German charm. The dikes stretch away as far as the eye can see: perfect for a walk. The Katinger Watt mudflat and the Multimar Wattforum National Park Centre are especially interesting. Cafés line the historical market square and the fine harbour, and you can always find a sunny spot to sit and watch the world go by.

St. Peter Ording
At 12km long by 2km wide, the beach in St. Peter-Ording is the widest on Germany's North Sea coast, and claims to be the world's biggest sandpit! St. Peter Ording is the largest holiday resort on the Eiderstedt peninsula, and is divided into three areas: Böhl, Bad and Ording. Visitors can enjoy swimming, walking or a variety of sporting activities on land or at sea. Windsurfing and sand-yachting are popular pastimes here. Many events and sporting competitions are held here in the summer months.

Husum
A mere 15km away is Husum, in North Friesia, where the poet and novelist Theodor Storm was born. This is a town with many places of interest, such as the market square, the old town hall and the castle, all just waiting to be discovered. The Schleswig-Holstein music festival in August provides a charming mix of jazz, opera, chamber music and much more besides.
