The Alf Lechner Museum is a comprehensive museum of contemporary art, dedicated to the life's work of Alf Lechner, one of the 20th century's foremost sculptors in steel. The exhibits on display in the permanent exhibition are regularly changed so that visitors can continue to see new facets of Lechner's work. The museum also has a number of exhibitions featuring the work of other leading international artists.Museum of Concrete Art
Permanent and temporary exhibitions of work by all the important exponents of this style are displayed in a gallery of exceptional architectural interest (awarded BDA Association of German Architects prize) that covers an area of around 1,000 square metres. There are a number of private galleries around Ingolstadt, giving art lovers the opportunity to see works by regional artists alongside those by nationally and internationally acclaimed painters and sculptors. With presentations by Ingolstadt's Culture Department and Art Association, the exhibition rooms at the theatre are one of the town's main highlights.
