In Seiffen, the small village in the Erzgebirge mountains, dreams are carved from wood. Over 100 small workshops work all year round to craft angels, artistic windmill pyramids, decorative Christmas arches and valuable musical boxes, and to send out legions of nutcrackers and smoking men into the world, with all kinds aromatic essences rising from their pipes.

The village of Seiffen, in the very east of Germany in the midst of the Erzgebirge mountains, is a toy and Christmas paradise. Seiffen's famous round church is well-known as one of the most enchanting images found on German Christmas cards. See how traditional wooden Christmas decorations such as angels and miners are crafted in the demonstrations run by the "Seiffener Volkskunst" workshop.

The most famous museum in Seiffen is the Toy Museum. Alongside the spectacular windmill pyramid there is a wide range of wooden toys to see. Seiffen also has a great deal more to offer.
