Set in beautiful countryside, Hechingen offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling. The Swabian Alb has one of the most beautiful walks in Germany which leads past the legendary church of Maria Zell up to Mount Raichberg and along the Albtrauf, the north-westerly edge of the Swabian Alb, to Mount Blasenberg and Mount Hundsrücken. This region can be visited all year round and boasts the highest concentration of spas, health resorts and wellness hotels in Germany. Germany's biggest theme park, the Europa-Park Rust, is also in the Black Forest.
