Preserved as a baroque garden in the west, the eastern section of the palace gardens has been transformed into an English-style landscaped garden. A little way away from the town centre is the Heinrich Kirchner Sculpture Garden, picturesquely situated in a former orchard and villa garden on Burgberg hill. The Erlangen-born artist has created a permanent exhibition of his large-scale bronze works here.The Aromatic Garden
Schwabachgrund is the home of the university's aromatic garden where visitors can learn about all sorts of herbs and spices and, especially in summer, be seduced by the scent of the plants in bloom.
